Face of Depression

So, I got to thinking the other day about what depression looks like.  You know if people have an illness you can usually see it, if someone has an impairment you can see that.  If someone is going bald or loosing teeth you can see that.  But I ask, what is the face of depression?

I think it has many faces....
It has a face of someone who gains weight very quickly and realizes they are eating a lot more than they were in the past.
It has a face of someone who sleeps a lot and when they are sleeping the sleep they are getting is not restful, it is full of thoughts of other things.
It has a face of sadness and unhappiness that is hard to shake no matter what one does to try and overcome the feelings.
It has a face of being very short tempered to those who one cares about, sometimes not even realizing it until too late.
It has a face of forgetfulness as well as the inability to concentrate.  Thus leading to the possibility of drinking or doing illegal things.
It has a face of someone you know who could be needing your help right now but it is very hard to actually understand what depression looks like so it is likely to be missed.
